Approach
Go deep only where it counts.
Every engagement starts with the Review. You understand your priorities before you commit to any project work. From there, we go deep on the specific opportunities the Review surfaces, as discrete, scoped projects, not a single large programme.
Step 1
The Review
A fixed-scope diagnostic that benchmarks your school three ways. Against your own trend over time, to show whether the direction of travel is improving or deteriorating. Against similar schools nationally, matched on enrolment, ICSEA, location, level, and sector. Against your local competitors, for a real picture of how you compare in your actual market. We rate the underlying subdrivers and surface the three to five opportunities with the greatest room for improvement, each sized for potential financial impact. You receive a clear, prioritised picture of where the numbers point.
What you get
A benchmarked view of your position. The three to five priorities worth acting on, sized for financial impact. One obvious next step.

Solution Design and Impact
Each priority the Review surfaces becomes a discrete, scoped project. Its own strategy, its own implementation plan, its own success indicators, drawn from what the strongest-performing comparable schools do. Schools typically work through two or three priorities per engagement. Each runs as its own workstream, so improvement starts early rather than waiting on one large programme to complete. Whichever of the five service areas a priority falls in, this is where the deep work happens. Engagements are scoped to your specific priorities and quoted by negotiation.
A de-risked investment model
Solution engagements share the risk. Half the fee is payable upfront. The remaining half falls due three to six months after delivery, and only when the agreed impact indicators confirm the solution is on track. Indicators are set with you at the outset. They need to show a clearly positive trajectory, not the full benefit realised.
“If we don't believe a solution will return at least three times its cost, we'll tell you before you commit to the work.”
Ongoing advisory
For schools and systems that want a continuing strategic partner, we offer a retainer. Quarterly reviews, board and leadership support, and oversight through implementation. The ongoing strategic capability most schools and systems do not have in-house. From $3,000 per month for schools and from $8,000 per month for systems.
How we work
Scoped and senior
a defined question, a clear output, a fixed timeframe. The people who scope the work do the work.
Evidence before opinion
every recommendation traces back to data: ours, yours, or published. We do not lead with frameworks.
Implementation-focused
a plan your team can execute, not a report that sits on a shelf.
Deliberately bounded
we go deep on the operating side and stay out of curriculum, pedagogy, professional development, leadership, hiring execution, and culture.
The data behind the work
Our benchmarking is built for this sector, not adapted from generic business data. A funding-and-surplus model covers 2,675 Australian non-government schools, calibrated against actual My School financial data. It underpins our financial and network benchmarking. Live national teacher vacancy data from Teacher Passport, across every sector and state, underpins our workforce work. Both sit alongside ACARA school profiles and My School. Our engagements start with facts specific to this sector, not assumptions borrowed from elsewhere.
